Echoes of the Stage brings to life the vibrant drama and theatrical flair of the Baroque. This program includes lively suites and dances from works such as Purcell’s King Arthur and Handel’s The Triumph of Time and Truth, and shines a spotlight on the elegance and theatricality of English opera and oratorio. A lively sojourn to France for Corette’s Concerto Comique for violin and recorder and Couperin’s enchanting Bird Suite round out a program which highlights a dazzling interplay of violins, oboe, voice, and recorder.
